Why start blogging now? Well this month will probably be one of the most memorable months in my life; with my first cousin getting married and my first trip to Europe. Likely I'd want to be able to record my thoughts and experiences with others through the inter-webs.
A Brief Introduction
Born January of 1993 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I moved to five different homes and three different states the first nine years of my life, before coming back to Kalamazoo in the summer of 2002. Kalamazoo is my home and I am very happy living here and I hope to live here for years to come.
My family consists of two working parents who love and support me. I am so blessed to have them as my parents they go over and beyond to take care of me. I have an angsty teenage brother, who is four years younger than me who is a literally a, "Smart Alec". My family has two small dogs that I love. I do not think I could live without dogs in my life.
I have a boyfriend of almost a year and a half and hopefully more years to come.
I am fortunate to have working parents and be able to do things I want. Things kind of just fall into my lap also, moving back to Kalamazoo was one of the many things that was wonderful for my family. In 2007 there was an announcement that some Anonymous donors had set up a scholarship for every student who lived in Kalamazoo district, attended the Kalamazoo Public Schools, and Graduates from the Kalamazoo High Schools; a fully paid tuition to any Public Michigan University. It was as if my family had won the Lottery. 90% of my tuition is paid for by the Kalamazoo Promise. This scholarship has made it so that I can focus on my education and open many opportunities for my family.
